Jena, SVSTI's Career Services Advisor, guides and supports students in resume building and mock interviews, providing them with the essential skills needed for successful job placement. After completing her education at Georgia College, she explored various career paths, including Mathematical Sciences, Computer Forensics, and Psychology, before dedicating over seven years to teaching in public schools. With extensive experience as a CFO and Hiring Manager for multiple companies, Jena brings valuable industry insight. She is deeply passionate about guiding students toward their goals and empowering them to reach their fullest potential.
My name is Linda, and I am SVSTI's Admissions Advisors, the Student Success Coordinator as well as the Computer Concepts Instructor.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Technical Management and Human Resources from DeVry University. In my spare time, I love to travel, scuba dive and participate in Renaissance Faires. I am also one of the NBSTSA Exam Proctors.
Skyler graduated West Valley with 3 associate degrees. Associate in arts concentration in Social & Behavioral Sciences, associate in arts concertation in Arts & Humanities, and associate in science- administration of justice. She earned bachelor's of science in criminal justice from East Bay in December 2025. Skyler is our administrative assistant as well as the Compliance Manager for Faculty/Staff. She loves to shop in her free time.
Marijane Valdez is a PT Admission Assistant & NBSTSA Exam Proctor. She has over 20 years of experience in managing business relations and providing executive level administrative support as well as a teaching assistant. Marijane received her BA of Arts from San Jose State University.
Frances graduated from the University of California, Davis in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Samuel Merritt University in 2025. She is currently preparing for nursing boards and works at SVSTI as an administrative assistant and Psychology Instructor. Frances has a diverse healthcare background, including experience as an optometric technician, activities assistant in long-term care, and in administrative roles with hospital and ambulance companies. She is passionate about the connection between mental health and patient care, and in her free time, enjoys reading and going for scenic walks.
