The Surgical Technology Program is a blended program that will prepare students with the knowledge and skills to work in an Operating Room of a variety of medical settings. The Surgical Technology Program in Fremont serves the Bay Area, Central Coast, and Northern CA.

Applicants with a bachelor's degree or higher can complete a block transfer into the Surgical Technology Program. The cost will be $29,800.00, since no General Education classes are needed. For applicants transferring college credits into the program, the cost will vary depending on how many GE classes are needed ($660.00 per unit). If all 5 GE classes are needed, the price will be $33,100.00. The program length will vary from 12 to 16 months, depending on GE classes.

Cengage eBooks and MindTap are paid by the student (1-year unlimited access = $229.99+).

*Students will need to renew after 1 year for completion of the program (for a total of $459.98+).

AST Membership, Study Guide, and NBSTSA certification exam are paid by the student for $257+.

Surgical Counts paid by the student for $39.95+.

 The Sterile Processing Program is a blended program that prepares students with the knowledge and skills to work as entry-level Sterile Processing Technicians. The Sterile Processing Program in Fremont serves the Bay Area, Central Coast, and Northern CA.

 CBSPD: CSPDT certification exam is paid by the student $135+. 

The textbook and workbook are paid by the student. 

• The Basics of Sterile Processing Textbook, 8th edition, is $155+.
• The Basics of Sterile Processing Workbook, 8th edition, is $40+.

The student will need the 8th edition textbook and workbook ASAP. Please purchase as early as possible. Link: https://www.spdceus.com/store/

*Please be aware that you are required to read and complete Chapters  

1-3 on Canvas before the 1st day of class.

A $100.00 Non-Refundable Registration Fee will apply to any applicant for the Sterile Processing Program and Sterile Processing Program.

Students may only be eligible to change their program start date one time for a fee of $100.00.

Cancellation/Withdrawal notice occurs when you give written notice of cancellation/withdrawal via the SVSTI Change of Status Form. A Change of Status Form must be received within 72 hours for ANY status change. SVSTI shall issue a refund within 45 days of a student’s written cancellation via the Change of Status Form.

To complete the Change of Status Form, you MUST email Education@svsti.com to be sent the Change of Status Form to complete within 72 hours.

Please refer to the Enrollment Agreement, Sterile Processing Handbook, Surgical Technology Handbook, and/or Academic Catalog for policies requiring notification of ANY status change. 

Sterile Processing Repeat Fee of $1,500.00.

Surgical Technology Repeat Fee of $4,500.00.

Please see the Academic Catalog, Handbooks, or Attendance Policy for qualifications for this. 

 This must be pre-approved with the Clinical Coordinator at the time of admission/enrollment. $1,000.00 Extension Fee paid by the student.
